About This Role:
As a Lead HVAC Installer, you’ll be the go-to expert in the field — managing the installation process, mentoring Install Helpers, and ensuring each job meets Blue Valley’s high standards. You’ll play a key role in delivering a best-in-class customer experience while ensuring quality and code compliance.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead full HVAC system installations (furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, ductless, etc.)
- Supervise and train Install Helpers on proper techniques and safety practices
- Ensure all installations are code-compliant and meet manufacturer specs
- Manage job timelines, communication, and closeout documentation
- Collaborate with the Install Coordinator and Project Manager for scheduling and job planning
- Provide excellent communication and service to customers onsite
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, electrical work, refrigerant handling, and system design
- EPA Certification required; NATE or equivalent preferred
- Leadership skills and a passion for teaching others
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements.
- To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls; hear, and talk.
- Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
- The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required.
- The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.
The pay for this position is uncapped and technicians could earn $100K–$150K/annually. Other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
