Role
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the acquisition of goods and services for Octus Intelligence, Inc. This role ensures cost-effective procurement, maintains strong supplier relationships, and optimizes the procurement process to support the company's operational needs. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of procurement best practices. A working knowledge of Coupa and Ironclad would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.
- Manage supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Procurement Process:
- Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and other procurement documents accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with the contract review process.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, tracking orders and resolving any delays.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Implement and improve procurement policies and procedures.
- Work with Coupa to ensure the accuracy of procurement data.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks.
- Maintain ethical procurement practices and adhere to the company’s code of conduct.
- Assist with audits as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on procurement activities and performance.
- Work with inventory control and logistics to ensure proper flow of materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems such as Coupa.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The base salary range estimate for this position is $60,000-$75,000.
The actual compensation will be at Octus’ sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for additional commission-based compensation.
