About the Opportunity

The EEA Senior Manager for Customer Due Diligence (CDD) is responsible for leading the CDD team. You will lead the EEA CDD teams covering KYC, KYB, EDD, screening and periodic reviews. , . You will work with the country, regional and global stakeholders and must be flexible, willing, and able to work in a dynamic environment. The position reports directly to the EEA Head of Compliance Operations, with matrix reporting to management as necessary.  

What You’ ll Be Doing

  • Leadership of a CDD team of over 40 people based in Hungary and Malta.
  • Leading strategic direction, training and advisory support with regards to EEA CDD processes.
  • Developing and maintaining robust KYC / KYB policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks.
  • Provide people management and development responsibilities, and ensure team service level standards are met.
  • Liaise with various functions (e.g. Compliance) and stakeholders across the business. within business units for onboarding or periodic review queries.
  • Oversee new client onboarding, and implement process enhancements to improve client onboarding experience in EEA.
  • Monitor periodic reviews to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Prepare daily and weekly onboarding metrics and progress reports.
  • Ensure that all legal and customer files / data are maintained, in accordance with European Regulations and Group policies.

What We Look For In You

  • 8 years experience of running a CDD team preferably in the financial service industry
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills
  • Understanding of business, operations and risk functions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience or professional qualification.

Nice to Haves:

  • ACAMS or ICA certification.
  • Experience working with teams across global offices and time zones
  • Experience of working in crypto industry.
