About the role: 

Working in partnership with our client, a leading optical and imaging client in B2B transformation, we're seeking an operations Director. You'll collaborate with creative and strategic professionals to craft compelling stories and campaigns that truly resonate with audiences, utilising cutting-edge tools and agile processes. This role is right for you if you are a seasoned professional who excels in leading operational strategies and managing complex workflows. You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of team operations in alignment with business goals. You have a deep understanding of the agency environment and can drive success from negotiation and implementation stages through to ongoing management. 

The Operations Director is responsible for the growth and profitability of the business, through monitoring cost control and driving solutions for constant improvement and slicker operational processes. You will be part of a new multi-skilled and vibrant creative, design and ops team put together specifically for this account  

The account will require somebody with lots of energy, a can-do attitude, ability to manage many different work streams at any one time and have a hands-on approach to get the job done. 

What you will be doing: 

  • Develop and implement processes that promote high standards of work while ensuring efficient client servicing. 
  • Drive transformation and improvement in day-to-day processes to decrease cost-to-effort ratios and maintain effective information flow. 
  • Monitor and educate teams, offering guidance for problem-solving and solutions creation. 
  • Oversee resource scheduling and utilisation, ensuring efficiencies through a streamlined approach. 
  • Ensure project management discipline is standardised and best-in-class across all operational areas. 
  • Create, maintain, and analyse reports to understand and act upon key indicators, including utilisation and adherence to processes. 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Use job and time management information to estimate, track, and analyse projects and department utilisation, driving recommendations for process refinement across the business. 
  • Have an understanding of client-related people processes. 
  • Be results-driven and oriented. 
  • Maintain an analytical approach, with a focus on transformation rather than mere replication. 
  • Demonstrate excellent project budget management and scheduling. 
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and related software. 
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience, with proven success in project delivery and managing operations personnel effectively. 
  • Deep familiarity with the Oliver IIG model and experience in sectors that align with the agency’s core areas of expertise. 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver transformative changes within an organisation, fostering best practices and innovation. 
  • Extensive experience with products and services relevant to our clients, coupled with a strong track record of implementing systems and technologies to enhance business performance. 
  • A credible background as an Operations Director, highlighting strategic leadership in improving operational outcomes.
