Role:  Senior Medical Copywriter

Location:  Manila, Philippines

 

About the role: 

The Gen AI Content Studio (gen AI content development) is a new in-house creator team, with the role of developing content for the key brands of a global consumer health company across the consumer journey for touchpoints such as advertising, social, e-commerce, website. The team works with generative AI to produce content in-house, in contact directly with brands and marketing. This is leading a true content transformation for the client, operating in new ways, with new processes. 

We are looking for daring and bold professionals who will embrace the power of Generative AI and Talent and challenge the status quo in advertising and marketing. 

This position involves developing written medical content for one or multiple brands, as part of a remote-based team comprised of design. Content is re-adapted from sources of and e-detailing for several channels (emailing, banners, trainings, etc.)  

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Act as the scientific backbone of the HCP studio, translating complex medical information into clear, compliant, and scalable content for digital channels. 
  • Develop clear, accurate, and engaging medical content tailored to HCPs (Specialists, GPs, Pharmacists) based on existing sources and materials. 
  • Ensure all content is fully referenced, aligned with approved claims, and compliant with medical and regulatory requirements. 
  • Understand and synthesise complex scientific and clinical information to ensure factual integrity and compliance. 
  • Adapt and repurpose e-detailing, medical sources for multiple channels such as emails, banners, training modules, and e-detailing platforms. 
  • Develop multiple content variations from a single source to support scalable, always-on HCP communication. 
  • Collaborate closely with design teams to integrate written content seamlessly with visual elements. 
  • Define on-visual copy (headlines, key messages, callouts) and ensure seamless integration between content and visual execution. 
  • Review and edit content to maintain consistency in tone, style, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards. 
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to understand client briefs, timelines, and deliverable scope. 

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Advanced scientific degree in life science 
  • 7+ years of experience in medical writing or scientific communication for healthcare agencies 
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex medical and scientific concepts into clear, compelling narratives, supported by a strong portfolio of medical content. 
  • Advanced understanding of Generative AI tools and medical content automation workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, and other AI-assisted writing platforms). 
  • Experience creating digital-first, medical content, which is not limited to long-form or static materials only. 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively with strategy, marketing, clinical, and production teams. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, scientific accuracy, and experimentation in medical communication. 
  • English proficiency is mandatory – all work happens in English. 
  • Remote collaboration with design teams and project managers.
