The Role:
The Localization Team is a multicultural and complementary team of Localization Program Managers passionate about delivering high-quality native experiences for users across the globe.
Localization Program Managers at OpenTable own localization project management, delivery, workflow, and quality optimization for a specific business area, working closely with cross-functional teams. They ensure that localization efforts align with company priorities, improve localization efficiency, and optimize cost-quality balance.
You will drive strategy, implement scalable solutions, and lead cross-functional collaboration for localization processes across multiple content streams, ensuring global scalability.
An analytical mind, effective communication, outstanding project management, and problem-solving skills, along with an in-depth understanding of localization and internationalization, are needed for this role!
In this role, you will:
- Define localization strategy and align it with business objectives.
- Lead large-scale cross-functional localization initiatives across multiple content streams.
- Develop and implement automation and solutions for localization scalability.
- Serve as a key advisor to internal teams, providing expertise on localization challenges and opportunities.
- Partner with engineering, product, and marketing teams to integrate localization into business planning.
- Drive process efficiency and operational perfection to optimize quality, speed, and cost.
- Establish localization success metrics and use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
- Be a phenomenal partner with localization vendors and negotiate contracts for efficient results.
- Influence leadership on localization investment and expansion opportunities.
- Advocate for standard methodologies in internationalization and localization across teams.
Please apply if:
- Minimum 7 years of localization program management experience, with leadership exposure.
- Expertise in driving strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in handling localization vendors, budgets, and negotiations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and defining success metrics.
- Deep knowledge of localization tools, AI, and automation for scalability.
- Validated ability to influence collaborators and senior leadership.
- Strong project management and execution skills.
- Experience in LQA, Machine Translation, and post-editing workflows (preferred).
- Experience with TMS such as Smartling, Phrase etc.
- Background in international product expansion.
- Multi-lingual experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Localization Quality Assurance (LQA).
- Knowledge of Machine Translation
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
