Purpose of the Position 

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join Pantheon’s Change team on a permanent basis.  The Business Analyst will engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and support project delivery across multiple areas including strategy, business change, systems development and implementation.  They successful candidate will be expert in the practice of eliciting, validating and tracking business and system requirements from initiation through to successful delivery.  They will have broad experience working on a variety of technology and operational change projects in the financial services sector.  The candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

Key Responsibilities 

The Business Analyst is expected to assume the following responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:

  • Develop a clear understanding of new projects, including eliciting objectives, scope and success criteria
  • Gather and document business and system requirements, collaborating with technology and business team partners to drive consensus
  • Define and document end-to-end business process maps, data flow models, use cases and entity relationship diagrams and other relevant project artefacts
  • Work with business, technology and architecture colleagues to verify and validate requirements against solution delivery at each step of the lifecycle
  • Pro-actively establish working relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Support the successful adoption of business and IT change within the business community by maintaining engagement with the user base, enabling training and support as required
  • Consistently own and drive through project issues to a successful resolution with the respective teams in a timely manner

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong track record of delivering projects in the financial services sector is a must, ideally Private Markets or Fund Management
  • Knowledge of the investment and investor relations lifecycles and related systems and processes (CRM, Data Management, Reporting etc)
  • Ability to elicit and document detailed business requirements including provision of rationale and relevant context
  • Ability to elicit and document end-to-end business process flows at all levels using BPMN using appropriate tools (e.g. MS Visio)
  • Experience of Waterfall and Agile Scrum project life cycles within a structured environment
  • Experience with backlog management in Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Exposure to working with external third-party vendors and partners
  • Experience running workshops with both business and technical stakeholders to elicit business processes and requirements, review analysis and validate documented project artefacts
  • Ability to develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies, build strong rapport, constructively challenge stakeholder assumptions and mediate between conflicting requirements ensuring consensus
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and succinct manner
  • Ability to communicate rationale behind business processes and bring business teams/stakeholders and senior partners into alignment

The following is desirable, but not essential

  • Business Analysis qualification and certifications (e.g. BCS Business Analysis)
  • In depth knowledge of Private Markets including Private Equity and Private Credit and related business processes
  • Experience working on CRM system delivery (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Altvir, DealCloud)
  • Project management, scrum master or team management skills
