Junior Sales Coordinator, Position Overview
Perry Ellis International is seeking a highly motivated Junior Sales Coordinator to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of our merchandise from order to delivery. As a Junior Sales Coordinator, you will be a crucial point in our order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate execution. You will leverage your analytical skills and collaborative spirit to optimize inventory allocation, streamline order processing, and provide exceptional service to our valued accounts. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Management & Execution:
- Validate EDI orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Strategically allocate inventory across multiple warehouses to optimize fulfillment.
- Process and meticulously track all orders, including make-up and stock orders, from inception to delivery.
- Proactively manage order exceptions, including requesting distributions and extensions as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Purchasing, Imports, Sales, Planning, and warehouse teams to expedite orders and resolve potential bottlenecks.
- Serve as a key liaison, fostering clear communication and alignment across departments.
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution:
- Provide exceptional customer service to accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Claims Department to efficiently resolve chargebacks, ensuring accurate information is provided.
- Work closely with Inventory Control to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Maintain meticulous records, reports, and documentation for future reference and analysis.
- Ensure strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance within the sales team.
- Follow up on special projects and ensure completion.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas of improvement within the supply chain process.
- Contribute to process improvement projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Associate's degree or professional certificates considered with relevant experience.
- Proven experience in retail or wholesale apparel supply chain operations preferred.
- Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Google Drive/Applications and related software.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Work Environment
- This is an on-site position based at Perry Ellis International's headquarters in Miami, FL.
- The work environment is collaborative and focused on teamwork, growth, and respect.
- 5 days a week in office.
