The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Operations Data Analyst to join our Product Enablement team. This role is vital for driving operational excellence and enabling a product-led approach by leveraging data to inform decisions and optimize processes. The ideal candidate will help establish a robust data infrastructure, facilitate cross-functional alignment, and enhance the efficiency of our product lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data across the product lifecycle to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key metrics such as product adoption, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Present insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made at every level of the product organization.
- Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the product development process.
- Use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices to streamline processes and reduce time-to-market.
- Support the establishment of scalable, repeatable processes that improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the product operations function.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with product managers to translate strategic goals into measurable KPIs that align with both customer needs and business objectives.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure data collection processes are robust and aligned with the product roadmap.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment by providing clear, data-driven insights that help teams understand the impact of their work on overall product success.
- Data Management & Integrity:
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing strong data governance practices and conducting regular audits.
- Collaborate with engineering to enhance data collection methods and ensure that the right data is captured for meaningful analysis.
- Establish and maintain data documentation to support transparency and consistency across the organization.
- Ad-hoc Analysis & Strategic Support:
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on specific product features, customer segments, or operational challenges as needed.
- Provide strategic support for product launches, customer research, and other key initiatives by delivering data-driven insights that guide decision-making.
- Leverage analysis to inform the development of metrics that monitor the effectiveness of product processes and outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within Product Operations or Product Management environment.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel & SQL
- Familiarity with product platforms such as Pendo, Segment and Jellyfish.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
- Familiarity with product management processes, KPIs, and the role of product operations in driving product success.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
- Knowledge of agile product development processes.
- Understanding of product-led growth strategies and the role of product operations in enabling them.
- Experience with process optimization and the implementation of operational best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
