Strategy and Ops Lead

New York, New York, United States

Prosper Health is on a mission to make life happier and healthier for autistic and neurodivergent adults.

Despite rapid growth in known autism prevalence (up >5x in the last 25 years), autistic adults have been ignored by the healthcare system, leading to extremely poor outcomes across mental and physical health. Prosper is changing this by providing specialized, virtual mental health services for autistic adults, covered by insurance. Our innovative autism assessment diagnoses many of our clients for the first time in their lives. We pair that with individualized therapy that is tailored to the needs of autistic adults, and community to help our clients find belonging and remain engaged.

In just 18 months since founding, we have grown to double digit millions of run-rate revenue, thousands of active clients, and 150 clinicians on our team. We have done this all with a lean, ambitious team, and we recently raised a Series A from leading investors and healthcare operators.

Our ambition is bold: to reach and transform the lives of millions of autistic and neurodivergent adults.

The Role

You are stepping into a unique role - we have significant traction, and you will play a pivotal role in creating our foundation as we build an enduring business. In a generalist role, your work will span across all dimensions of the business. Eventually, the goal is for one of your projects to become a function that you will own and build out. You will:

  • Report directly to our CEO, and collaborate closely with our team, clients, and clinicians to solve strategic challenges, take operational processes 0 to 1, and develop a playbook to turn process into scalable functions
  • Support our early team in building culture and recruiting high-performing team-members
  • Be a driving force of execution! There is a never ending list of things for us to do right now - this role will require you to tackle them with energy, often taking the initiative beyond explicit directives
  • Here are a few examples of things you might work on over the next few months:
    • Analyze the client journey and identify key levers to reduce drop-off points, improve retention and ensure more seamless care
    • Determine appropriate KPIs for functions and build out KPI dashboards for the team to have visibility on the business
    • Optimize our utilization and variable costs to increase margin
    • Launch and test new distribution channels, including partnerships and provider referrals

About You

  • 6-10 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, startups, or a similar role
  • Excited by the early stage (you will be one of the first 15 employees), which means working in a high degree of ambiguity with a strong ability to take ownership and operate independently
  • Analytical, data-oriented, first-principled thinker: you are able to think logically and communicate clearly; you have data-driven discussion and are open to other opinions via thoughtful discussion
  • A scrappy mentality with a bias for action and velocity: you are a relentless executor that moves quickly and delivers results
  • Ownership and learner mentality: you are proactive to improve things and nothing is beneath you; you constantly strive to improve yourself and grow
  • Motivated to do good and be great
