Pump.co helps startups save money on cloud. But more importantly, we’re building a brand that actually makes people feel something (usually: laughter, curiosity, sometimes fear?).

We’re hiring a Meme Dealer to lead our organic content strategy. You’ll be the first marketing hire on the non-paid ads side - shaping the voice, the content, the strategy, the stunts, and the chaos.

This isn’t a “social media manager” job. This is a front-line operator role for someone who wants full creative freedom and a chance to build something wild from the ground up.

What you’ll do:

• Run X accounts like a god-tier shitposter with a product roadmap.
• Fire off replies, roasts, memes, and cultural commentary in real time.
• Make our founders look like geniuses (or at least funny).
• Turn dry infrastructure into engaging, hilarious, and viral content.
• Dream up and execute guerrilla IRL campaigns (thrift store drops, sticker ops, weird mailers - we’re open).
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to define the brand, tone, and tempo.
• Operate with no ceiling. We expect you to bring your best and take full ownership.

You should have:

• 20K+ followers on X, or a proven track record running high-growth, content-forward accounts.
• An understanding of startup and VC culture, and the ability to mock it from the inside.
• A sense of humor that makes people say “WTF” in a good way.
• Strong writing instincts
• Zero fear. Zero fluff. Zero need for traditional experience.
• We don’t care where you’ve worked. We care if you can make people stop scrolling.

Bonus if:

• You’ve pulled off viral marketing campaigns (digital or physical).
• You can design/edit (Figma, CapCut, Canva, Photoshop, anything goes).
• You’ve built a niche audience or community of your own.
• You’ve ever started a meme war.
