Pure Storage is seeking a Customer Marketing Manager, Operations to serve as the operational leader for our customer advocacy and marketing programs. In this role, you’ll create and manage the foundation that ensures the success of our customer marketing initiatives. From database management and reporting to internal communications and process improvements, your efforts will enable Pure Storage to foster meaningful customer relationships and scale our advocacy efforts. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about streamlining processes to create exceptional customer experiences.
- Customer Reference Management: Own and optimize Pure Storage’s customer reference database to ensure it’s accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with business goals. Track customer participation and advocacy activity while identifying opportunities to deepen engagement.
- Vendor Partnerships: Act as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, managing contracts, timelines, and deliverables to drive flawless execution of projects.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Equip internal teams (sales, marketing, product, and customer success) with advocacy assets and resources to maximize program impact. Foster alignment across stakeholders to amplify the voice of our customers.
- Program Analytics and Reporting: Build and manage dashboards to monitor program metrics, such as advocacy engagement and reference utilization. Share actionable insights and recommendations with leadership to guide strategy and decision-making.
- Internal Enablement and Communication: Provide consistent updates on program initiatives, including successes, milestones, and upcoming opportunities, to internal teams.
- Customer Engagement Programs: Develop and execute creative welcome and thank-you programs that make customer advocates feel valued and appreciated.
- Process Improvement and Scalability: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and improve overall program efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 10+ years of experience in customer advocacy, or program management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with CRM and customer advocacy platforms (e.g., Salesforce, RO Innovation, or SlapFive).
- Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially for internal communications.
- Proven ability to manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee deliverables.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience in the B2B IT sector (preferred).
- Proficiency with marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, Eloqua) and reporting platforms (preferred).
- Creative thinker with a passion for building impactful customer engagement programs.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Raleigh, North Carolina office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $115,000.00 – $173,000.00
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
