We are transforming our Revenue Operations—spanning both Marketing and Sales—to enhance impact and efficiency by rethinking our processes, technology, data management, reporting, and overall operations. To drive this evolution, we are seeking a Director to build and lead our Marketing Systems and Data team, playing a pivotal role in executing our go-to-market strategy.
As the Director of Marketing Systems and Data at Pure Storage, you will lead the development and execution of our marketing technology and data strategy. Your mission is to boost our pipeline and enhance Marketing and GTM ROI by architecting, selecting, implementing, and integrating advanced tools and data platforms that streamline processes and deliver actionable insights to our marketing and go-to-market teams.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
- Marketing Systems Strategy
- Collaborate with IOPS and Marketing stakeholders to define the marketing technology vision and 3-year plan
- Partner with GTM Sales Systems, LoBs, MOPS and Marketing leaders to develop and implement end-to-end processes to assist and automate GTM motions
- Data Strategy and Integration:
- Partner with cross functional BI & data teams to develop and implement data strategies for integrating data from multiple sources, including AWS, Snowflake, Salesforce, Marketo, and Tableau
- Design data flows and synchronization rules to ensure consistent, accurate, and accessible data for business decisions
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Create frameworks to improve the quality of accounts, account hierarchy, contacts, and other critical data domains
- Partner with corporate functions to include marketing needs in enterprise-wide Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance strategies
- B2B Data Enrichment and Analysis:
- Utilize knowledge of B2B data vendors to enrich account and contact data
- Develop a framework for account hierarchy to support the development of propensity-to-buy models to enhance marketing effectiveness
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, Sales, Finance, Customer Support, Data Science, and Business Intelligence teams
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and IT to align on overall GTM system capabilities and technology strategy
- Leadership and Communication:
- Present data strategy progress and insights to executive leadership. Influence and build consensus across diverse teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GTM data management, B2B go-to-market technologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Extensive experience with B2B marketing technology stacks, including Salesforce, Marketo, Snowflake, and AWS Sagemaker (or equivalent tools in the same category). Experience leveraging and providing requirements for reporting in real-time BI tools.
- Strong background in data integration, data quality management, and governance.
- Experience in field marketing and digital marketing, knowledge of media tactics, audiences and the systems and platforms that generate digital media data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset, proactively takes action, and communicates with clarity and impact at an executive level.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $187,000-299,000.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
