Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

The Head of Merchandising, Men's Apparel will report directly to the VP of Sourcing & Merchandising.  This role is responsible for delighting Quince’s growing customer base by expanding and managing the Men’s product assortment on Quince, including for current Quince strengths in sweaters and expanding the assortment to new fabrications and styles.
 
At Quince, we believe that everyone deserves access to high quality products at radically affordable prices.  We believe the marketplace for consumer products is inundated with too many options, and customers find product quality difficult to determine and yet frequently pay more for a variety of things that can be delivered at much lower prices.  Our goal is to find the best products in the marketplace and connect the makers of these goods directly to the customers who want them. Quince has proven the consumer value proposition in the apparel and accessories categories, especially within the men’s sweaters space and has built a loyal, repeat consumer base.  We want to build on that value proposition and continue to scale the Men’s category in both existing and new product classes.  The merchant leading Men’s Apparel will be responsible for managing the assortment, revenue and margins, and overall growth trajectory of the Men’s business.
 
Quince's growth and success is directly tied to the performance and success of this role. Resposibilities:
  • Maintain or exceed current trajectory for the Men’s business to deliver 300+% revenue growth, while maintaining or improving current margins.
  • Expand current Men’s category assortment by adding 200 new SKUs to site, meeting the Quince definition of quality, margins, and ethic
  • Build a long term Men’s product roadmap that is constantly refined/ updated with new information and learning
  • Track record of influencing high-performing global teams in ambiguous and high-growth environmentsTrack record of continuous learning / improvement (taking feedback, incorporating feedback, etc
  • Develop and pitch new products to launch in the assortment.Collaborate with the Sourcing and Product Development teams on the development of the assortment.
  • Articulate a clear category positioning, product segmentation, and strategic financial objectives for your categor
  • Expert knowledge of innovative product creation to drive highly competitive perceived value through, function, fabrications, trims and silhouettes, while achieving go-in-margin targets set by the executive team
  • Firmly connected to the competitive landscape to be able to benchmark our perceived value and create our competitive advantage
 
Desired Skills:
  • 10+ years of retail merchandising experience in the Men’s apparel category, preferably with luxury expertise
  • Proven experience in merchandising leadership roles with team growth and management abilities
  • Product obsessed with experience in leveraging both data and a critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the “science” and “art” of retail merchandising)
  • Strong relationships with existing supplier base within the apparel and accessories space
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
  • Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred

We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position’s impact and contribution to our strategic goals.

Pay Range

$160,000 - $225,000 USD
