Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, problem-solver and passionate about Kids and Baby. The print designer will work closely with the Head of Kids and Baby Apparel Merchandising, Head of Kids and Baby Home Merchandising, and the Quince creative team. This individual will be responsible for creating seasonal concepts, color palettes and print + pattern for Kids and Baby Apparel and Home. This role will include hands-on research, data analysis, asset creation and execution. This role will produce a variety of print and color needs across Kids and Baby apparel and Home and play a critical role in the growth of the Kids and Baby assortment for Quince.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely and collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, sourcing, product development, marketing and creative
- Lead creative concept for Kids and Baby development through visual research, data analysis, mockups, presentations and storytelling.
- Concept and develop brand-right print + pattern and color palettes for apparel and home
- Create and maintain artwork mill sheets
- Present creative work to leadership and be able to adjust design decisions accordingly with feedback.
- Own color dip and strikeoff development and approval
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the Kids and Baby retail/apparel industry required
- E-commerce experience and/or DTC experience preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in color design, color analysis, print + pattern
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success
- Product obsessed with experience in leveraging data tools and external sources to guide design decisions
- Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
*This role will work a Hybrid schedule in our SF office. You must live in the Bay Area or be willing to relocate
