Job Title: Associate Director, Social & Community

Location: San Francisco (required)

Reports to: Head of Brand Marketing

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, culturally fluent, and creatively strategic Associate Director of Social & Community to lead the development and execution of Quince’s organic presence across all platforms — from Instagram and TikTok to Reddit and Facebook Groups.

This role is responsible not only for day-to-day performance, but for evolving Quince’s social strategy as a brand engine: driving engagement, strengthening community ties, showcasing our collaborations, and amplifying our IRL presence. You’ll manage and grow the social team, collaborate with creative and influencer partners, and ensure Quince shows up in a way that is relevant, human, and distinctly our own.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Partnerships & Collaborations to bring capsules and cultural moments to life socially, and with the Associate Director, Events & Sponsorships to translate in-person experiences into content that extends reach and resonance.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the vision and strategy for organic social at Quince — driving growth, engagement, and brand storytelling

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts), branded content, Reddit, and Facebook Groups

  • Develop a robust, data-informed channel strategy that ladders into brand goals, seasonal campaigns, and product launches

  • Oversee all social content planning across evergreen, editorial, and launch moments — ensuring Quince’s voice remains elevated, insider-friendly, and trend-aware

  • Collaborate with Head of Partnerships & Collaborations to amplify brand and creator collabs through original, high-impact content

  • Partner with Head of Events & Sponsorships to build content loops before, during, and after experiential activations (e.g., pop-ups, F1, Modernism Week)

  • Align closely with Influencer Marketing to maximize the impact of branded content and UGC — bridging organic and paid

  • Lead the strategy and editorial calendar for Facebook Groups and Reddit, driving conversation and integrating community feedback

  • Track and share weekly/monthly performance insights and industry trends with the broader brand and exec team

  • Stay ahead of evolving platforms, algorithms, formats, and creator behavior — ensuring Quince stays at the forefront of social storytelling

What You Bring

  • 6-8 years of social media or brand marketing experience, with proven leadership
  • Track record of building and scaling social channels and communities for lifestyle brands
  • Deep understanding of what makes content work on each platform — and how to differentiate in a crowded space
  • Experience partnering across departments and translating collabs, events, and launches into social-first moments
  • A refined creative eye and strong copy instincts — you know how to make a brand feel consistent and exciting
  • Familiarity with Reddit, Facebook Groups, and Discord as community tools
  • Strategic thinker, proactive executor, collaborative partner
