Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
About BillMe:
BillMe is the world's leading digital billing provider. It was founded by Jai Hemrajani, Kuber Pritmani, and Rupam Jain in 2018. BillMe has now evolved into a "CRM powered by Digital Billing". BillMe helps over 4000+ businesses like McDonald's, Tata, BurgerKing, and Decathlon send digital bills, collect data, and increase sales and engagement. BillMe was acquired by Razorpay in 2023. The collaboration between Razorpay and BillMe aims to help retail brands digitalize the customer bills and improve customer engagement and retention.
The Role:
The role will involve selling the BillMe proposition to government and banking clients (eg- Utility companies, Transportation departments, Temples, Tax department, Insurance companies etc). You will be responsible for initiating conversations, setting up product demos, negotiating commercials and taking live clients on BillMe.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building funnel of government and banking clients to drive adoption of our digital billing product, to ensure business growth of the channel.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for business and operational matters.
- Deliver against volume, revenue, penetration and growth targets for the identified and assigned clients.
- Develop implementation plan across alliance life cycle
- Map & develop strong working relationships with key influencers of clients. It should include mapping the various teams in the assigned clients thoroughly and plot them out to an organogram of the banks.
- Facilitate seamless onboarding of Razorpay as a Vendor / Customer in the client’s ecosystem as well as ensure set-up on system and its complete alignment across departments
- Understanding the unit economics and revenues of RazorpayBillMe product and ensuring continuous revenue growth from government and Banking clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to align partnership strategies with business objectives.
- This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, sales, analytical skills, and operational prowess to foster strong relationships with clients.
- Ensuring that the engagements are well formalized with the clients by way of agreement(s) and agreed base rates and mark-ups applicable, if any. Also taking care of internal closure with cross-functional departments like Legal, Finance etc.
- Ensuring that client queries and issues with existing products and programs are resolved within expected timelines

- Establish deep relationships with existing clients, map out multiple teams within the target organization, and secure new profitable revenue through cross-selling and upsell initiatives.
- Ensuring reconciliation of transactions, invoicing and recovery is completed within agreed timelines
Mandatory Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Sales (hunting) with a focus on selling SaaS tools/ platforms to government and banking clients.Deep understanding of banking products, processes, and regulatory requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.Experience in customer engagement / sales roles is a must. This is essentially a customer facing role and therefore flair for sales / relationship building is sacrosanct. Business acumen and Customer orientation: Should be a passionate believer in digital transformation and the use of technology to simplify business processes and improve customer experience. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment Analytical capability to deal with the technical, contractual, and financial aspect of the business.Willing to travel to meet with clients.Best-in-class verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
