The Account Executive, Data Activation is responsible for driving revenue from both existing customers and prospects by leveraging digital, programmatic, social, and other media spending against Resonate’s segments. They manage ongoing relationships with agency trading teams and oversee media activation revenue for their clients. This role is accountable for the growth of our data business revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the agency data buying ecosystem and the data marketplace, acting as a trusted partner to guide clients on who, where, and how to reach the right audience. You will collaborate closely with our Agency Sales team and Data Product Activation team, serving as a subject matter expert for the core Agency sales organization. The primary focus of this role is revenue growth and delivering exceptional support to our agency and media buying clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive data revenue from our existing client relationships. Achieve quarterly/annual revenue targets and revenue retention
  • Be the Resonate expert in managing partnerships with our agency trading desk clients and platforms and build relationships at all levels.
  • Present Resonate solutions and best practices to programmatic buyers and investment teams to generate new business across the agency roster of clients.
  • Establish ambitious growth plans for all existing clients within your assigned territory.
  • Work with clients to define critical goals, key performance indicators, and aid the client in achieving their goals
  • Position Resonate syndicated and custom data solutions through strategic value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, and analyst data
  • Develop and test optimization strategies with clients and identify approaches to maximize data usage, performance, and revenue.
  • Strategic account development, establishing and building up C-level contacts, identifying and developing opportunities
  • Work with all internal support teams and appropriate client resources such as Data Activation Product, Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Executives, Partners etc. Advocate channel partner needs and issues cross-departmentally
  • Stay up to date on the latest programmatic trends and technologies to identify new opportunities and use cases for Resonate assets.

 

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of sales experience required, preferably a mix of SaaS platform sales, syndicated and custom data sales, and marketplace partners with a proven track record in working with agencies and platforms.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Successful sales track record at or above quota and demonstrated ability to build and manage a pipeline for systematic success
  • Ability to grow and renew current client accounts is required
  • Proven consultative sales solution skills, including the ability to articulate a clear, concise return on investment value statement
  • Experience in selling data solutions through channel partners is an advantage
