Position Overview:
The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Investment Officer and driving strategic initiatives across Sagard's investment platforms. This individual will act as a trusted advisor and partner to the CIO, providing leverage and operational support while contributing to the overall success of Sagard's investment strategies.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the CIO across internal and external initiatives by providing leverage on their time (meeting and presentation preparation);
- Support the CIO with strategic activities at Sagard Holdings;
- Lead handful of investment initiatives under CIO sponsorship including strategic planning;
- Support the CIO in the operations of platforms by tracking OKRs, hiring; preparing leadership meetings and quarterly offsites;
- Support all reporting to investors and coordination with IR, Finance and investment team;
- Support coordination of investment team and value creation team activities;
- Support the CIO in board work at investee companies.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a strategic or operational role within the investment management industry, preferably with exposure to private markets (e.g., private equity, venture capital).
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Experience working closely with senior executives, providing support and contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Proven track record of leading and managing projects, including strategic planning and execution.
- Experience in investor relations, fundraising, or client communication is an asset.
- MBA or CFA designation is considered an asset
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
