
Counterparty Onboarding Analyst
The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Counterparty Onboarding team based in our New York City office. This group is responsible for all counterparty onboarding across the firm. You will collaborate with many peers from different departments, such as: Risk, Portfolio Financing, Middle Office, Fund Accounting, Corporate Strategy, KYC, and Back Office. Great organizational and interpersonal skills as well as mental resilience are required to succeed in this role. Ideal for students graduating in winter 2025 or spring 2026.
What you’ll do
- Documentation
- Contribute to our library of documentation to outline/refresh best practices as our workflows and tools evolve
- Help suggest areas of improvement that will benefit all stakeholders across the firm
- Coordinate with various teams globally: Legal / KYC / Middle Office / Strategy COO’s to gather information on new requests and enhance existing workflows
- Illustrations of high-risk workflows for knowledge sharing across all departments
- Project Management
- Help catalog new counterparty relationship requests and provide regular updates on current statuses/progress to management/internal stakeholders
- Help prepare presentation notes and address team takeaway action items from large stakeholder meetings
- Follow up with parties internally & externally to help facilitate firm-wide efforts
- Broker Onboarding
- Coordinate from internal request to final execution for various execution agreements like: CDEA/ Give up Agreements / Options Application forms / FX Designation Notices / MRA & GMRA
- Experience working/communicating directly with Prime Brokers, Execution Counterparties, and Custodian Banks
- Once new brokers are established, coordinate respective system mappings with all internal/external stakeholders and vendors.
- Complete/Facilitate all required documentation for the onboarding of clearing accounts and the required underlying markets

- 0-1 years of work experience
We’d love if you had:
- Any experience with productivity tools (Confluence, JIRA, Visio, or MIRO)
- Any experience with the counterparty onboarding processes from a financial services firm
- Any experience in a Middle/Back office operations role from a financial services firm
- Any experience with legal documentation relating to trading execution agreements and/or FIA-Tech Portal.
- Experience with SQL, VBA, or other technical skills is highly desired

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $75,000 and $85,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
