This individual will also play a critical role in defining processes between DTC, Engineering and IT, ensuring alignment of systems, tools, and governance across the technology stack. The ideal candidate will be comfortable getting hands-on with our core development, collaboration, and deployment tooling platforms, and will help establish best practices for how they’re leveraged throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable front-end and full-stack architecture across Salesforce Commerce, Experience, Marketing, and Service Clouds.
  • Create and document architectural diagrams, system flows, integration patterns, and development standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and shape the long-term DTC technical roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, ensuring feasibility and engineering rigor in roadmap planning and delivery.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across DTC initiatives with scalable, sustainable solutions.
  • Lead the integration and optimization of core engineering tools (CI/CD, source control, monitoring, security).
  • Define and operationalize workflows with IT for deployments, incident response, and change management.
  • Partner with IT and engineering leaders to enforce standards on tooling usage, access controls, and audits.
  • Drive tooling and process decisions to improve engineering velocity, system reliability, and visibility.
  • Own technical governance, including code reviews, architecture reviews, documentation, and forecasting.
  • Proactively identify system and process improvements and champion initiatives to address them.
  • Provide technical forecasting for upcoming releases and future-state platforms.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a lead or architectural role.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Lightning Web Components) and full-stack development.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and monitoring platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable systems and lead cross-platform initiatives.
  • Proficiency in architectural documentation tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Draw.io, UML).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
