Reports to: Sr Director, Global Transportation

Location: Remote

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, North America Transportation is responsible for leading SharkNinja’s domestic transportation operations across direct-to-consumer (DTC) and business-to-business (B2B) outbound freight, as well as intra-network (warehouse-to-warehouse) transfers.

This leader will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of transportation performance across parcel, LTL, TL, and intermodal modes—ensuring the best “order-to-porch” and “dock-to-door” performance at the lowest total cost. The role requires a strategic, data-driven thinker with deep operational expertise, strong carrier relationships, and proven success delivering service excellence at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead End-to-End Transportation Operations: Manage and optimize all North America outbound freight for both DTC and B2B customers, ensuring on-time, damage-free, and cost-effective delivery performance.
  • Drive DTC Parcel Excellence: Champion best-in-class order-to-porch delivery through parcel network optimization, last-mile carrier innovation, and proactive exception management.
  • Optimize B2B Retail Freight: Oversee full-truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and intermodal freight to retail distribution centers. Partner with Order Management, Vendor Compliance, and Commercial to ensure high compliance with routing guides and OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) standards.
  • Intra-Warehouse Freight Coordination: Manage inter-facility transfers supporting balanced inventory, multi-node fulfillment, and network agility.
  • Carrier Strategy & Negotiation: Build and manage strategic carrier partnerships. Lead rate negotiations, bid events, and quarterly business reviews to drive continuous improvement in cost and performance.
  • Cost & Service Optimization: Utilize data and analytics to balance cost, speed, and reliability. Continuously refine mode mix, carrier allocation, and service levels to achieve lowest total landed cost.
  • Performance Management: Develop and own transportation KPIs, including on-time delivery, cost per unit shipped, carrier scorecards, and transit time metrics. Deliver monthly executive reporting with clear insights and actions.
  • Technology & Innovation: Partner with IT, 3PLs, and parcel providers to enhance efficiency with technology-driven solutions—including TMS functionality, freight visibility, yard/dock management, automation, and parcel optimization tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Warehousing, Planning, Consumer Experience, Order Management and Commercial teams to align supply chain performance with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing transportation team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in domestic transportation management, ideally in consumer goods, retail, or eCommerce environments.
  • Proven leadership across both DTC parcel and B2B retail freight networks, including carrier management and cost/service optimization.
  • Expertise in LTL, TL, and parcel pricing structures, carrier negotiations, and freight audit processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics visibility platforms.
  • Demonstrated success managing 3PLs and developing strategic carrier partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High bias for action, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
