Position Summary 

We’re seeking a full-time Beauty PR Specialist for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. We are looking for someone who is experienced, enthusiastic, and ambitious to join the SHEGLAM North America Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have public relations experience with in-house beauty, and/or a PR agency. The Beauty PR Specialist will support the Brand PR Manager in developing and executing public relations strategies to enhance the image and visibility of SHEGLAM. This role involves building strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry professionals to secure press coverage, product placements, and event opportunities. The specialist creates compelling press materials, executes media outreach, and supports product launches and campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement. Our ideal candidate is passionate about pop culture, the ever-evolving media landscape, and social media, actively participates in it, and understands the social and digital ecosystem. Additionally, you should have proven experience in event coordination, delivering earned placement results across various media and influencer campaigns.  

Job Responsibilities 

  • Support Brand PR Manager in day-to-day communications with in-house and external agency team members
  • Provide support with writing pitches, press releases, media alerts for new product launches or brand campaigns
  • Assist in print and online media outreach on key brand initiatives to secure brand features, product placements, and news items
  • Monitor due press and update coverage trackers on a daily basis utilizing in-house reporting platforms such as Launchmetrics, Muck Rack, Google Alerts, Meltwater, and social applications
  • Maintain and update media lists to ensure contacts are current and relevant
  • Develop and maintain relationships with beauty editors, journalists, influencers, and key industry leaders
  • Assist in planning and executing PR driven brand events and media trips
  • Organize and facilitate media and influencer seeding programs
  • Monitor trends and conversations in the beauty industry, ensuring the brand stays relevant
  • Assist in general admin of the PR department to ensure budgets, invoicing, and payments are on track
  • Prepare reports on PR activities, media coverage, and service press for internal teams
  • Assist the PR Manager with other tasks and projects as assigned to support team objectives and initiative

Job Requirements 

  • 2-3+ years experience in consumer relationship management, public relations, ideally within the beauty, fashion or lifestyle sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalist or a related field
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and messaging apps
  • Passion for beauty care and a keen awareness of industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

$69,000 - $75,000 USD
