Position Summary 

We’re seeking a full-time Set Design Coordinator for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. This role will work within our studio team and partner with different departments to execute set designs for all upcoming shoots. This individual will need to be extremely self-driven, detail oriented, organized, and have a sense of urgency to complete projects and report directly into our Set Designer. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Build and set up each set design according to the inspiration sent to us from our internal creative briefs. This requires doing 5 sets daily to be prepared for the shoots on the following day
• Must be able to replicate the inspiration sent as closely as possible by using the necessary props, floors, and backgrounds. This involves doing research and coming up with creative ideas to properly execute each designer’s vision
• Communication is key in this position. Limitations related to set design must be communicated with urgency to allow for adaptation of creative
• Manage internal decks to keep an up-to-date library of all resources in studio – including props, backdrops, seamless and flooring
• Coordinate delivery and pickup of set design supplies with 3rd party vendors
• Assist with keeping detailed financial records of set design purchases and spend

Job Requirements 

• 1+ years in set design preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Be a self-starter. Knows how to prioritize tasks to ensure we have everything we need to execute the set design
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and flexible mindset required
• Experience working with a team on a creative build or project
• Must be great at problem solving; come up with efficient solutions to make sure we are adhering to the designers’ guidelines as closely possible
• This position may require heavy lifting
