Staff Program Planner

The Staff Program Planner will be responsible for assisting the PMO with project-related responsibilities including Program Planning, Scheduling, Reporting, Creation of Program Trackers, Artifacts, Day 1 Go Live activities, Meeting Minutes, Change Controls, Closure, and other documentation, as well as assisting with Portfolio-level analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Work under supervision of Manager, Corporate Planning & Support, Program Directors to help deliver projects on-time, within scope/budget, and with the appropriate level of documentation
- Assist with developing and maintaining program schedules in Smartsheet/Monday and other PMO platforms to monitor and track progress and stay abreast of changes to the plan
- Document changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs under supervision of Program Directors
- Analyzes the schedule for impacts to the Program Events and intermediate milestones
- Understands cross functional interdependencies within a timeline
- Generate critical path analyses and support for program decision points and escalation
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Report and escalate Risks/Issues to Program Director as needed
- Help manage the relationship with the internal and external clients and all stakeholders
- Use strong and independent business judgment in making decisions about risks, issues, and escalations
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
- Assist with Project financial reporting/ analysis
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of project planning, consulting, and/or business-intelligence experience
- Must demonstrate initiative and professional written and verbal communication/approach to drive team performance
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail
- Must be able to multitask effectively and autonomously problem solve.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a cross functional team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical resources and those with a non-technical, business background.
- Must have experience in developing program/project level schedules
- Must have great technical acumen with the ability to use and learn new technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Financial Technology (FinTech) and/or Payments is a plus.
- Prior experience in project coordination or planning support.
- Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies.
- Experience in managing internal projects or supporting cross-functional teams.
