About the role…
The Director of "Lifecycle Marketing and Creator Education" will be responsible for leading ShopMy’s at-scale education efforts with our 70,000+ creator community. This individual will sit within ShopMy’s Creator Experience Business Unit and will own, develop and execute a lifecycle marketing strategy, ensuring we successfully educate our creators from their first interaction with the ShopMy brand, through onboarding, activation and ongoing usage of the ShopMy platform.
The role will include educating creators across various channels on the full extent of ShopMy's offerings, highlighting new features and product launches, bringing awareness to new brand partners and available commission rates, as well as providing thought leadership on how creators can maximize their success on the platform. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong grasp of ShopMy's value to creators, knowing how, when, and where to engage for maximum impact. Exceptional organizational, copywriting, and communication skills are essential to deliver compelling messaging that inspires and further activates our creator base.
Roles and responsibilities…
- Develop and lead a comprehensive marketing strategy to engage and educate creators, with a focus on driving GMV expansion through proactive outreach and tailored messaging
- Develop a deep understanding of ShopMy’s creator base and the spaces where they spend their time to ensure ShopMy’s educational material meets our creators where they ‘live’
- Oversee the planning and execution of education-focused marketing initiatives aimed at keeping creators informed of how to maximize their earnings on ShopMy (e.g. frequent newsletters, webinars, push notifications, in-app messaging, website content, videos, tailored messaging to various creator segments)
- Create and maintain a library of on-demand, self-service educational resources, such as guides, tutorials, and best practices to empower creators on the platform
- Manage the creation of all copy and assets for creator communications, ensuring materials are optimized for the target audience
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of education-focused marketing efforts, using data and feedback to refine strategies and improve engagement and conversion rates
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product & Engineering, Creator Insights and Creator Relations & Support, to align marketing and education efforts with broader company objectives and ensure consistency in messaging
- Innovate ways for ShopMy to engage, support, and elevate our creator network.
- Develop a strong understanding of the pain points of our creator base by collaborating with Creator Relations & Support, as well as Creator Insights
- Manage and develop team associates, focusing on their career growth and development
Our non negotiables….
- Proven experience (6+ years) in lifecycle marketing, content strategy, product marketing, or a similar role, ideally within a high-growth technology or digital platform environment.
- Degree in English or other writing-heavy curriculum strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success in driving engagement and revenue growth through strategic communication initiatives
- Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing the ability to create compelling content across multiple channels
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- A strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset, capable of leveraging insights to continuously improve communication efforts
- Exceptional design sensibility with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers and provide direction on visual assets
- Passion for the creator economy and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by creators
- Ability to synthesize, coach, and communicate with a diverse set of clients
- Comfort using learning & enablement technology (Canva, Figma, Microsoft Suite, Google Docs, Loom, PopSQL)

New York Pay Range
$130,000 - $170,000 USD
