Partner Engineer Graduate Intern (Summer 2025)

Internship Overview: Sigma is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Partner Engineer Graduate Intern to join our Partnerships team for the Summer of 2025. This 12-week internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in partner enablement, go-to-market strategy, and ecosystem collaboration. You will work directly with key internal teams and external partners, contributing to projects that have a direct impact on Sigma’s growth. This role supports the growth of our sales teams and combines both a technical and data driven approach.
Internship Program Qualifications:
Current graduate student:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university graduate degree program in the U.S with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
- Able to intern from June 2025 through early September 2025
Authorization:
- You must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Summer 2025 program
- Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions, but we welcome applicants on a student visa (with authorization to work in the U.S.) to apply
Location:
- Applicants must be able to work in-person in our office in San Francisco, CA for the duration of their internship.
- Relocation assistance will be provided for students who will need to relocate for the Summer in the form of a relocation bonus.
Key Internship Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive ecosystem glossary in Sigma to highlight the variety of partners in Sigma’ ecosystem. This workbook will be used to teach the broader GTM about the technical offerings, fit, and sales motion for how we engage with partners.
- Assess the current state of Big Query demo environments and associated assets., Provide recommendations/backlog of improvements/gaps and implement improvements as timing permits.
- Assist in the development of new Big Query assets - standard demos, demo vignettes, and first call decks
- Coordinate with the Director of PE for SIs on creating a consistent format for Partner Webinars
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Partnerships, Enablement, Sales, and Product teams.
- Develop Sigma workbooks using Sigma’s python, excel, and sql capabilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating Partner Enablement and Appreciation Events across ecosystem partners. Demo Sigma’s product to Partner SEs
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
Qualifications:
- Current graduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Analytics, or Data Engineering. Preference for MBA student with an emphasis on data analytics - graduating Spring 2026.
- Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills, prior experience in analytics engineering, BI development, data warehousing, or similar.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams internally and externally
- Problem solver with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Open to learning new tools and technologies
- Interest in partnerships, business development, and the data analytics industry.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with SQL, python
- Hands on experience with data visualization or analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBi, or similar
- Experience in business development or partnerships is a plus.
- Able to commit 40 hrs a week for 12 weeks in-person in one of our office locations

Additional Job details
Interns at Sigma are compensated with an hourly rate and relocation bonus (where applicable). Our hourly rate for this role is $36.00 - $40.00 per hour.
