Senior Analytics Engineer
SOCi, the CoMarketing Cloud for Multi-Location Enterprises, is currently looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the development of data pipelines, transformations, data models, and analytic products in our data lake. You will represent the data team as a subject matter expert, and data model spokesperson, demonstrated by your ability to answer business questions quickly and accurately from the data lake. The role develops strategic data and analytic products by bridging the gap between the business, data analytics, and data engineering.
Senior Analytic Engineers support our analyst community with robust, efficient, trustworthy data models and analytical best practices. The role will contribute to developing, optimizing and maintaining our data lake infrastructure, ensuring data is accessible, accurate, documented, and primed for business insights. This is a hands-on technical role designed for someone who is passionate about data and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Own the relationship with one or more business team stakeholders for the data team
- Collaborate with business teams to identify, document and develop analytic solutions
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers and other stakeholders on data lake models
- Develop and maintain data pipelines collecting data from various source systems
- Develop and maintain data model transformations for use in analytic models
- Ensure data accuracy, quality and consistency with monitoring and validation processes
- Maintain our data catalog, and document data pipelines, transformations and models
- Monitor, and respond to production incidents in the data lake
- Optimize queries, and data engineering activities for performance and cost
- Assist in implementing data governance and security best practices
- Document processes, workflows, and data definitions to support knowledge sharing
- Guide user story breakdown sessions, and contribute to quarterly planning sessions
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior analytics engineers
What You’ll Need to be Successful
- Hybrid Opportunity: Ability to work remotely, with potential hybrid configuration at later date
- Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience working with cloud based data engineering platforms (Airflow, FiveTran, Stitch, etc.)
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Proficiency building transformations and data models with dbt (cli preferred)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and data governance principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Demonstrated experience optimizing performance and managing complex datasets
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to mentor and guide team members
- Willing to adapt to changes in the job description as deemed necessary by the business and accept all other duties as assigned
- Desired Skills (but not required):
- Familiarity with implementing or using a “data vault” data modeling pattern
- Familiarity with modern cloud BI tools (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Looker)
- Experience with “Data Hub” or equivalent open source data catalog platform
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
