Your Role

• Serves as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in Italy. In such capacity this person would be the main point of contact with the Italian FIU and approves SARs before filing and approves high risk business relationships.
• Maintains and develops for the Italian branch AFC frameworks, including for AML/CTF, Sanctions, and ABC policies/processes. Aligns such frameworks with the global policy house
• Handles the relationship with Italian regulators, including providing reports and assisting with regulatory reporting where necessary.
• Is responsible for permanent control and local internal control framework before competent authorities
• Plays the role of local advisor for AFC and compliance topics regarding Italian environment (e.g. legal monitoring, new products, new partner risk assessment)
• Communicates and trains relevant teams on compliance requirements
• Identifies, assesses, tracks, and escalates regulatory risks throughout the Italian branch perimeter

• Demonstrable expertise in broader compliance areas within a financially regulated company, including, but not limited to AML.
• Experience in building AML/CTF framework
• Experience working in an international and diverse environment
• Clear written and verbal communicator in Italian and English
• Experiences with local regulators is a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure, different priorities, and tight deadlines
• 7-8 years professional experience within the banking industry (experience within fintechs will be a plus)
