Account Management Intern - Undergraduate

About the Team:

At Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), the Account Management team plays a crucial role in connecting client requests with our internal creative teams. We are proactive advocates for our clients, ensuring their business goals are met and their marketing dollars are well spent. We build strong relationships both in-house and with external partners, constantly communicating to ensure the best ideas are implemented effectively. We collaborate closely with our creative teams, ask tough questions, and provide meaningful feedback to drive success in every project.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage the creative development of marketing initiatives, campaigns, and brand stewardship, acting as the primary day-to-day point of contact for internal clients, in-house creative teams, and agency partners.

  • Partner with the Senior Account Manager to develop yearly and quarterly plans with clients, enabling the agency to forecast hours and ensure resources are available to complete work.

  • Build trust and strong relationships with clients and external agency partners.

  • Ensure all client deliverables meet high-quality standards, adhere to brand guidelines, support strategy, and are completed on time and within budget.

  • Provide meeting notes and next steps to clients and internal teams to improve efficiency and reduce rounds of creative revisions.

  • Brief and manage creative teams on campaign initiatives from start to finish.

  • Collaborate with internal business groups, creative teams, and agency partners to develop clear and concise campaign and project briefs that lead to dynamic creative work.

  • Work closely with marketing teams to understand their strategies, manage campaign identities, and establish consistent branding across multiple communication channels.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues affecting the quality and delivery of projects.

  • Identify appropriate metrics, track results, communicate findings, and apply insights to improve future projects.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.

  • Majoring in Business, Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of business models, objectives, and financial metrics used in decision-making.

  • In-depth understanding of the company's market and business environment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of effective creative design, copywriting, and video practices across various touchpoints or mediums (e.g., campaigns, packaging, in-store, digital, mobile/app, print, direct, interactive, and video).

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.

  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with internal and external clients.

  • Detailed understanding of clients' products and services.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and develop collaborative relationships with colleagues across the company, including global colleagues at all levels.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience using project management workflow software and creative applications, including PowerPoint, Keynote, and Photoshop.

 

Eligibility:

  • Able to work full-time (2-3 days a week) in our San Mateo, CA office or fully remote during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 17th - September 5th.

  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

  • Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.

 

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. 

 

Intern Pay Range

$33.25 - $40 USD
