Artist Marketing Manager
The role of the Artist Marketing Manager is a hybrid of Artist Management for Sony Music Philippines’ 360 local artists and Marketing for the signed local artists. The local roster is divided between 2 Artist Marketing/Strategy Managers. The position works closely with Artists & Repertoire, to create campaigns supporting artist releases, Digital, for evaluation and analysis of each campaign performance, and Business Development, for gigs and brand opportunities for the 360 artists. The Artist Marketing Manager interfaces with local artists during release planning and is tasked to develop and present a customized marketing strategy per artist that will maximize streams, as well as income-generating engagements for the artist.
What you'll do:
Artist Management
- Regular check-in and assistance with Artist and their releases
- Presentation of release strategy and marketing campaigns
- Coordination with Artist for media guesting and brand campaigns
- Representation as Artist Manager during media guesting, production shoots for brand deals, and other artist engagement
- Management of inquiries for Artist engagements where applicable
Marketing
- Manages end-to-end marketing processes from planning to evaluation
- Development of Marketing plans for artist growth and release promotions
- Responsible for social media performance monitoring and analysis
- Responsible for Fan Community engagement and growth
- Responsible for ad buys where applicable
Administrative
- Preparation and submission of weekly reports to track artist progress and marketing campaign performance
- Preparation and submission of marketing budget forecast based on Artist P&L
- Processing of vendor payments tapped for marketing campaigns
- Review and approval of all artist communication materials and assets for Marketing and Promotions
- Work closely with the A&R Team for Artist Branding and Marketing Strategy to support releases
- Work closely with the Digital Operations Team for development of artist pitching and campaign performance evaluation
- Work closely with Content Production Team for development of content execution and promotion materials
- Work closely with Business Development Director and Artist Management Director for Artist profiling for new business opportunities
Who you are:
- Digital Marketing experience a must
- Experience working with music artists preferred (but not essential)
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and yet deliver results
- Demonstrated ability to work well with people/within a team
- Knowledgeable and passionate about the local music industry in the Philippines
- Creative thinker, confident and proactive in your approach, able to work autonomously and be a team player.
- Great communicator and an ability to take on and utilise diverse opinions.
