Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking a Learning & Development Coordinator!
Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, The L&D coordinator is critical in supporting the L&D vision to meet goals and objectives and key results, and to ensure that any L&D projects are completed on time. The L&D Coordinator is the first point of contact for new hires and is active in providing day to day care and support to all new hires during onboarding. This global role is heavily focused on ensuring all learning and development initiatives run smoothly through effective communication, clear scheduling and records management.
What You'll Do
- Manages training records including the monitoring of missing, incomplete, or overdue training, and brings up issues as required to the appropriate team members.
- Maintains L&D job-aids and process guides on confluence and LMS, updating as required based on changes to policies, procedures and/or technology.
- Monitors centralized Learning & Development inboxes and Instagram accounts to manage, troubleshoot and/or respond to inquiries and issues.
- Coordinates the scheduling of training sessions including room bookings, materials preparations, and communication with participants.
- Collaborates with the Learning and development team to manage new and existing training content within the learning management system (LMS).
- Enrolls employees in required training programs based on company/business unit training requirements, role changes, position level or as determined by Recruitment and Training
- Gathers and analyzes feedback and learning evaluations from training participants and team members for recommendations to continuously improve program content and delivery.
- Streamlines the coordination of learning activities to enhance participant engagement by analyzing training processes for inefficiencies and redundancies. Collaborating closely with other overhead departments to align best practices, review and improve processes
- Apply, maintain and improve training platforms and tools to onboard new hires on company strategies, workflows and best practices
- Collaborates with the recruitment team to maintain connections with local schools, organize and conduct studio tours
- Responsible for video submission tickets and ensure videos are correctly uploaded to loom
- Takes notes during all training meetings and prepares material when needed
- Administers the intern program up to 3 times per year
What You'll Bring
- 1-2 years of experience in training coordination, operations, or program management.
- Familiarity with managing digital content, e-learning solutions, and program tracking tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, engaging with various partners to achieve the L&D objectives and key results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong belief in continuous improvement to drive excellent results.
- Ability to make creative recommendations and improvements based on evaluation data.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage, collaborate and champion best practices in support of learning.
- Prompt and accurate responsiveness to requests and the ability to investigate and solve complex problems and issues.
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with diverse groups of people throughout the organization.
- A passion for learning and development and supporting the development of others.
- Proficiency in Google applications such as Sheets, Slides, Drive etc.
- A passion for VFX, Film and the creative arts
- Technical proficiency in the use of learning management systems (LMS) and Confluence is considered an asset
- Actively engage in company functions and events, representing the L&D team
- This is primarily an in office role with the ability to work from home when needed
- Occasional travel may be required as this role supports all SPI locations

The anticipated base salary for this position is $21.83 to $27.31/hr. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
