QA Engineer II
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and services using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, and operations) to understand requirements, identify test cases, and ensure test coverage is comprehensive.
- Execute automated tests and report defects in a clear, concise manner, tracking issues through to resolution.
- Enhance and optimize existing test frameworks to improve test performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights, recommendations, and reports to improve product quality.
Support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, BitBucket). - Assist in defining and enforcing best practices for automated testing and quality assurance within the development lifecycle.
- Participate in planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure quality goals are met and blockers are addressed.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to identify root causes and collaborate with development teams to resolve them.
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results in an organized and thorough manner, ensuring traceability and transparency.
We would love to hear from you if:
- You have 3+ years of experience in QA automation or software testing, with hands-on experience in automating test cases for web applications, APIs, and services.
- You are proficient in test automation tools and frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or Postman.
- You have experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby to develop and maintain automation scripts.
- You have a solid understanding of software development and testing methodologies, including Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- You have experience in creating and executing performance, regression, and integration tests to ensure software quality across all environments.
- You have a strong ability to debug, troubleshoot, and identify root causes of issues, and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- You are familiar with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar platforms.
- You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to document test plans, test cases, and results clearly and concisely.
- You are detail-oriented, with a focus on identifying edge cases and ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- You are passionate about improving software quality and have a proactive approach to continuous learning and process improvement.
We’d be especially excited if you are ready to help build and scale an automated QA practice from the ground up, including defining test strategies, frameworks, and best practices, and have experience with conversational AI platforms (e.g., chatbots, IVAs) and understand the unique challenges of testing AI-driven systems.
This role is available in Bengaluru and will be hired into Amelia Global Services, a subsidiary of SoundHound AI. Our recruiting team will provide a total compensation range based on location and years of experience.
