The Role 

StarRez is seeking a Senior Product Manager (SPM) with strong competencies, a strong ability to operate autonomously, extensive experience and demonstrated success.   

You are well-versed in Product Management frameworks and will be able to recognize which research and delivery techniques are appropriate to validate and deliver a project on our roadmap.  

The decisions you’d make as an SPM have a bigger impact and are of higher visibility than mid-level Product Managers. They deal with the major features, functions and enhancements of existing products.   

You will also serve as the voice of the product team representing the product/business to Executives, external customers, attending conferences and similar events. 

 

 

Role Specifics 

  • Work Location: US – Denver – Hybrid or US – Remote

What You Will Own 

Build & Optimize   

 

  • Responsible for product oversight through the full product management lifecycle,   
    from defining product vision and strategy, discovery, development, and execution of product roadmap, launch, and ongoing management.  
  • Develop new products that address unmet customer needs.   
  • Determine metrics to measure progress and success.   
  • Conduct extensive market & customer research to feed into Product development and Product lifecycle management.  
  • Liaise with Marketing on product positioning and value propositions.  
  • Thinks strategically, with the ability to recognise where a product is succeeding or failing.    

Measure   

  • Oversees commercial and operating performance of product scope against stated KPIs.  
  • Track product engagement and impact on end users 
  • Develops robust market, customer, and competitor fact base through day-to-day activities, including but not limited to customer visits, interacting with our Customer Advisory Board, conducting market research, Win/Loss Analysis, and engaging with key market constituents  
  • Analyses pricing and focus on increasing product profitability.   
  • Commercial fluency – comfortable with financials, monetisation strategy, and business case development to achieve financial goals.   

Prioritization   

  • Work closely with Senior PMs and PMs on complex problems.   
  • Owns the prioritisation of their domain.   
  • Gain stakeholder buy-in on initiatives.   
  • Decision trade-offs with considerations for new short-term requirements and the impact on long-term communication plans.  
  • Works closely with the Engineering team to communicate the vision and   
    requirements for new features.  
  • Collaborate with other departments to build trust and understanding.   
  • Review market trends and best practices and bring these into your team.  
  • Post-launch monitoring to look for opportunities.   
  • Advocate team performance and product success to the wider business.  
  • Participate in showcases (demos) and POD rituals.

  • Ability to see a holistic picture and problem and slice it into smaller pieces of complete value to solve for.  
  • Possess a deep understanding of when a problem is solved and how to measure success. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in product management, preferably in a digital or technology-related field.   
  • Proven track record of successful product discovery and launch.   
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills - can craft clear requirements and expertly communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.   
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams.   
  • Knowledge of market trends and customer needs.  
  • Experience working with Agile methodology and using HCD techniques.   
  • Experience with analytics and data-driven decision-making 
  • Experience in B2B2C product environments, leading the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact products that serve institutional clients and individual users alike — balancing the needs of a complex business ecosystem with intuitive, user-driven design 
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive at the intersection of user growth and technical platform scalability by leading initiatives that expand our user base and deepen engagement, while also unlocking ecosystem value through strategic integrations with third-party platforms, tools, and partners. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in a product management role within a SaaS or a B2B2C company 
  • Experience working in/with higher education institutions or accommodation providers
