Strava is looking for a passionate individual to join our Developer Relations team and help us build the future of connected fitness. We are creating new ways to empower and entertain the global community of athletes by placing Strava at the center of our ecosystem - devices, digital fitness apps, connected equipment, and more. As the Partnerships Lead, DevRel you will own Strava’s success globally through strategic partnerships and product integrations, leveraging APIs and innovative initiatives. You will lead complex, high-impact collaborations with our most strategic Tier 1 partners that drive business growth, enhance user experience, and advance our strategic goals.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to around half your time on-site in our San Francisco office—roughly three days per week.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy.
Cultivate deep, cross-functional relationships with key Tier 1 partners, influencing across diverse teams to drive outcomes.
Lead complex negotiations to establish dynamic, highly strategic, and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Act as a strategic advisor to our Tier 1 partners, proactively addressing developer-focused integration opportunities and challenges.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to identify new opportunities and drive seamless implementation.
Synthesize and prioritize partner feedback to shape product initiatives that align with both partner needs and Strava’s business objectives.
Partner with Product Marketing to craft impactful go-to-market campaigns for new features or integration milestones.
Monitor and resolve issues with partner integrations, assessing and escalating as needed with clarity and precision.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
You have 8+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, developer relations, or a related field.
You have a proven track record of leading complex negotiations, driving strategic partnerships, and scaling impactful collaborations.
You have extensive experience with developer-focused partner API integrations, including familiarity with SDKs and developer tooling.
You have experience with partner API integrations and a demonstrated ability to discuss and navigate complex technical integrations with both internal and external stakeholders.
You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous settings, proactively identifying opportunities and challenges.
You excel at crafting and executing strategies while building consensus across diverse stakeholders.
You are highly organized, adept at managing intricate projects and aligning multiple teams.

Compensation Overview
At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. Compensation Range: $205,000-$220,000 base salary per year. This range reflects base compensation only and does not include equity or benefits. Your recruiter can share more details about the full compensation package, including the range specific to your location, during the hiring process.

Senior Manager, Localization Technology

The Localization team leads Strava localization efforts working cross functionally with Product, Support, and Go-to-Market teams. We have a passion for language, a multi-cultural appreciation and providing localized and relevant experiences to our Athletes worldwide.
Strava is looking for a Senior Manager with deep expertise in implementing scalable localization infrastructure for enterprise-level operations. In this role, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of a robust localization tech stack, including Translation Management Systems (TMS), Neural Machine Translation (NMT), Linguistic QA systems, Terminology Management, and Project Management Platforms. Your technical leadership will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality localized experiences at scale across markets.

What You’ll Do:
Technical Program Management
Project Management of Product, SW UI Strings working with external vendors.
Collaborate with engineering, content, product, legal, support, and marketing teams to ensure localization is embedded across workflows.
Spearhead I18N best practices across product teams.
Localization Tech Stach
Manage TMS, NMT engines, QA platforms, and terminology tools.
Build automated workflows and connectors between localization systems and enterprise CMS systems.
Oversee the integration of localization tech with project management platforms
Localization Engineering & Automation
Design scalable localization pipelines that enable continuous localization across platforms (web, mobile, documentation, marketing).
Automate file parsing, metadata tagging, string extractions, content sync, and post-processing tasks.
Optimize NMT customization pipelines and quality review feedback loops.
Support engineering teams with internationalization best practices (i18n)
Localization QA
Interface with product engineering team to filter and resolve localization bugs.
Be point of contact for Jira tickets on all localization engineers matters (visual UI integrity, concatenation, language context validation, internationalization)
Manage bug regression and ticket resolution bridging product engineers and localization testing team.
Solve encoding, formatting, and layout issues in localized builds
Collaborate with QA teams to identify and fix localization bugs
Automate quality checks and build systems for linguistic validation.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
15+ years of experience in localization, including 10+ years managing localization technology at an enterprise scale.
Solid experience with mobile apps and web localization, including Apple and Google Play Stores.
Experience doing Project Management of SW string working with outside vendors.
Strong understanding of localization file formats, API integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency with project management systems and localization connectors.
Deep knowledge and experience with NMT Quality evaluation methods.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Localization, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in building out our People Operations team and supporting our high performing, people-oriented workplace. You will work closely with our People team leaders, our People business partners, our Talent team, and with teammates at all levels across Strava. Specifically, you will lead our People Ops function providing support to and be the subject matter expert for our employees.
As a member of the People team and reporting to the Director of People Operations, you will embody our “people-first” culture and continually improve our employee experience via contributing to our People programs and projects. What You’ll Do:
People Operations Management:
Apply your broad range of People Operations knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, highly organized thinking, strategic mindset, management experience and ability to handle multiple and dynamic priorities.
Oversee and develop the People Operations team responsible for payroll administration, employee lifecycle management, leaves administration, PTO programs, and employee records
Partner strategically with our HRIS Lead and Benefits Lead to ensure operational excellence and alignment across all people functions
Craft, articulate and adhere to the best policies and procedures ensuring they align with US employment law while maintaining the Strava Culture
Collaborate with the HRIS Lead to leverage people analytics and drive data-informed decisions across the organization
Support all manner of ad-hoc organizational development projects such as talent reviews, engagement surveys, compliance trainings, and as a supporting teammate to our larger People Team in various ways
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize our people operations
Provide reporting and analysis on the health of our people programs and processes as well as the scalability of our programs as Strava grows over time.
People Teammate: Stay closely connected and aligned with our broader People team; contributing as an integral member of the People team, participating in weekly meetings and social events when and where able.
Provide leadership and judgment on HR and culture to a passionate employee base.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, IT, and business leaders to align people operations with business objectives
Employee Support:
Act as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters, partnering with legal when necessary
Ensure all employees receive exceptional support on people-related questions through multiple channels
Build and optimize self-service tools and knowledge resources that empower employee independence
Employee Engagement: Work closely with the entire People team on company culture, our programs and people-approach that blend data insights with care and empathy
People Management:
Lead and develop the People Operations team, including performance management, OKRs, and career development planning
Establish metrics and processes that drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
6+ years experience in People Operations or HR roles, with 4+ years in a management capacity
You've thrived in a scale-up environment and understand the unique challenges of rapid growth
A track record of both designing and implementing effective processes.
Experience leveraging people software (preferably Workday) to drive outcomes, business processes, and people programs.
Relevant industry knowledge on best practices and implementation.
Strong understanding of US federal and state employment law and compliance requirements, international employment law experience, particularly within Europe, is a plus.
Focusing on the details, but always mindful of the big picture.
Exercising good judgment when handling sensitive situations.
Excellent project management skills with experience managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
