State and Local Government Account Executive

Position Summary:
Strider is seeking a driven and experienced State and Local Government Account Executive to expand our presence within state and local government markets. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, driving strategic sales, and fostering long-term relationships with government agencies. Your ability to align Strider’s unique intelligence solutions with the needs of government clients will play a pivotal role in their success and ours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan targeting state and local government agencies.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities aligned with Strider’s intelligence solutions.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers across state and local governments, driving consistent account growth.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to close, including handling RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, while negotiating favorable contracts.
- Present Strider’s value propositions, showcasing how our solutions address pressing government challenges related to security, innovation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, legal, product) to ensure seamless proposal delivery and contract execution.
- Stay up-to-date with government trends, procurement cycles, and regulatory changes to position Strider as a trusted partner.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, contributing to overall revenue growth and team success.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in state and local government sales, with a deep understanding of procurement processes.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets in a government-focused role.
- Strong understanding of government structures and key decision-making processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex solutions to government officials.
- Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, with a solid grasp of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients and participate in industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data analytics, AI, or cybersecurity solutions.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms like SAM.gov or state-specific portals.
- Existing relationships with state and local government decision-makers.
