Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Sr. IT Engineer to manage IT operations for our 100+ employees in Bangalore while also contributing to global IT projects and initiatives. This individual will serve as the primary technical expert in India, responsible for end-user support, infrastructure management, information security, and delivery of key IT initiatives in partnership with our global IT leader.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal and communication skills, excelling in both day-to-day problem solving and leading initiatives that enhance the firm’s IT and cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities

End-User and Infrastructure Support

  • Provide white glove support for executives and high-quality technical support for 100+ employees in Bangalore.

  • Manage day-to-day support for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android), and collaboration platforms.

  • Oversee user lifecycle management, onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning, and training.

  • Maintain inventory of IT assets, manage procurement, and ensure proper configuration and deployment.

  • Support and troubleshoot video conferencing, VPNs, networking (Unifi preferred), and access control/CCTV systems.

Strategic IT Initiatives

  • Collaborate with the global Head of IT to co-develop and execute IT strategy for the firm.

  • Lead local delivery of global IT initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements, and collaboration tool rollouts.

  • Drive projects that improve productivity, resilience, and the cybersecurity posture of the firm.

Information Security & Compliance

  • Own information security processes in India, including access controls, MFA, and endpoint security.

  • Partner with global IT to implement and enforce security standards, audits, and compliance controls.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of access requests, approvals, and compliance with firm policies.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as the senior IT point of contact for the India leadership team and other local/global business leaders.

  • Coordinate with a junior IT resource and external vendors; oversee their work but remain a strong individual contributor.

  • Build relationships with global peers to align IT operations across regions.

  • Provide clear documentation, reporting, and recommendations to IT and firm leadership.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of hands-on IT engineering and support experience, with at least part of it supporting 100+ users in a corporate environment.

  • Proven track record of managing IT infrastructure (Windows, Mac, servers, networking, and collaboration tools).

  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 suite, Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra, Intune, Autopilot and MDM solutions.

  • Demonstrated responsibility for information security operations (access control, MFA, endpoint security, VPN).

  • Experience delivering white glove executive support and managing user environments with high expectations.

  • Familiarity with Slack, Duo, GSuite, Atlassian, Egnyte, and Teams/Zoom room setups.

  • Strong networking knowledge (Unifi preferred) and understanding of enterprise security standards.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading IT for a GCC or corporate office of ~100+ employees.

  • Exposure to cybersecurity projects and improving organizational security posture.

Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, Microsoft Certified, Security+) are a plus but not mandatory.
