The Senior Compensation Manager will be responsible for designing and administering global compensation. programs for over 1,200 Talkdeskers across 20 countries (mainly US and Portgual). This role is the face of Compensation for the company and is responsible for designing and delivering programs that align with Talkdesk values and attract & retain great talent. The role will report to the VP, People Operations and will collaborate closely with our Total Rewards team.
We recently implemented a job architecture and salary bands for the company globally and have more work in validation and rollout of that important project. The Senior Compensation Manager is a critical role for our growing organization and a great opportunity to mature the function for someone with strong experience and a willingness to flex to the demands of a high-growth company.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in and excited by the opportunities presented in a high growth environment. This role is the face of compensation for the company and will regularly interface with senior leadership and other cross functional teams (Payroll, Finance, Equity Administration, Legal, IT) to ensure the success of various initiatives while maintaining high standards of organization and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design & maintain global broad based compensation and incentive structures / programs for over 1,200 Talkdesker’s globally (located in 20 countries and growing)
- Lead annual and mid-year merit cycle in Workday
- Partnership in stock/equity awards, including plan design
- SME for Workday compensation setup and job profile design
- Compile and analyze data and metrics to support business decisions related to Compensation
- Maintain strong relationships and frequently interact with senior business leaders (e.g. Finance, Legal, HRBPs, ELT) to ensure that Compensation priorities are in alignment with the organization (e.g. influence the merit funding pool, discuss which types of compensation are better suited to attract and retain)
- Regularly review compensation programs for market alignment globally
- Owner and lead for various vendor relationships (e.g. Pave, Radford/Mercer comp data, etc.)
- Act as a partner to global People Team supporting initiatives both within and outside of personal scope / assignments
Requirements:
- Highly analytical and able to break down complex data sets into actionable plans for the organization
- Demonstrated ability to work in a hyper-growth, global organization
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to succeed in an environment with ambiguity and competing demands
- Proven ability to take initiative, and build strong, productive relationships with internal stakeholders, including executives
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills with an emphasis on tact, diplomacy and professionalism
- A track record of demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability
Education and Experience:
- 10+ years in a compensation business partner or compensation program management capacity
- BA/BS degree required
- Prior SaaS organizational experience preferred
- Workday experience a strong plus
- CCP preferred
- IPO readiness activities a strong plus
- Experience with Executive Compensation and/or presenting/preparing Compensation Committee materials is highly desired
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
