About the role

The Head of Business Systems leads the strategy, implementation, and operation of The Nuclear Company's (TNC) enterprise applications and business workflows, with a primary focus on ERP transformation and enterprise integration. This role requires deep expertise in end-to-end Oracle ERP implementations and the ability to articulate complex implementation methodologies to both technical and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will partner closely with Finance, HR, Legal, and other corporate functions to ensure systems meet business needs and scale effectively. 

This is a foundational build-and-mature role requiring both hands-on technical expertise in system integration, and data architecture, as well as strategic vision for enterprise systems maturity. The role demands someone who can architect secure, scalable integrations while maintaining data sovereignty and compliance requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation, from requirements gathering through go-live and hyper care, with demonstrated ability to explain implementation methodology, phases, and critical success factors to executive stakeholders 
  • Design and implement enterprise integration architecture, including API strategy, middleware selection, data flow orchestration, and real-time/batch integration patterns between business systems and
  • NOS/Palantir environment Establish business system automation framework, identifying automation opportunities, designing workflows, and implementing RPA/iPaaS solutions to eliminate manual processes across Finance, HR, and Legal functions 
  • Architect data governance and security frameworks ensuring data sovereignty compliance, implementing role-based access controls, data classification standards, and encryption protocols across all business systems 
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Legal to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, system configurations, and sustainable operational models 
  • Manage the full technology stack including database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and high availability configurations for critical business systems 
  • Drive vendor management and SaaS governance, ensuring contract compliance, SLA performance, and security standards adherence 

Experience - required 

  • 10+ years in enterprise applications with at least 5 years leading ERP implementations
  • Bachelor of Science in a technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple full-cycle Oracle ERP implementations (Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion or E-Business Suite), including ability to clearly articulate implementation phases: planning, design, build, test, deploy, and support
  • Proven technical proficiency in:
    • API development and management (REST/SOAP, OAuth, API gateways)
    • Database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) including query optimization and data modeling
    • Integration platforms and middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Oracle Integration Cloud, or similar)
    • Data security principles including encryption, tokenization, and data loss prevention
    • Enterprise architecture frameworks and data sovereignty requirements 
  • Hands-on experience building business process automations using tools like Power Platform, ServiceNow, or RPA platforms
  • Track record of designing and implementing secure system integrations across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to C-suite executives 

Experience - nice to have 

  • Nuclear or highly regulated industry exposure with understanding of compliance frameworks (SOX, NERC CIP, etc.)
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with Palantir Foundry or similar data platforms
  • Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist or similar Oracle certifications
  • Experience with modern data architecture patterns (data mesh, data fabric, event-driven architecture)
  • Knowledge of containerization and microservices architecture
  • Background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications
  • Experience with graph databases and advanced data modeling techniques

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $198000 - $255000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
