ABOUT THE TEAM

The Finance team at Tide is at the very heart of our phenomenal growth and ambitious international expansion. We're not just crunching numbers; we are actively scaling our function to match the pace of the business, which means this is a moment of massive transformation.

You'll be joining us as we implement finance tools, dramatically streamline processes, and build a best-in-class control environment. This team is critical for ensuring accurate and timely reporting for a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders—from the board to regulatory bodies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Financial Controller, you will:

  • Maintain accurate and complete books and records for all financial transactions.
  • Ensure timely and precise preparation and reporting of monthly and annual financial statements, along with all regulatory submissions.
  • Develop and maintain best-practice documentation for accounting policies, standard operating procedures and technical papers supporting material transactions.
  • Contribute to building robust financial control processes and strengthening the internal control framework.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group reporting policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Partner with Global Finance business leaders and the Global FP&A team to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Work closely with the Global Treasury team on working capital, cash flow, and foreign exchange management for UK operations.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced accounting service providers.
  • Provide regular updates to management and the Finance & Audit Committee on financial performance, risk management, controls, and taxation matters.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting processes, operations, and systems.
  • Oversee monthly ledger close activities, cost accounting, and accounts payable processes for UK operations.
  • Collaborate with the project team on assigned workstreams for the implementation of the new SAP general ledger system.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or MNCs
  • Strong financial and technical accounting skills with solid knowledge of IFRS
  • Proven experience managing statutory audits in financial services
  • Qualified CA with 4+ years PQE
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and owning work independently
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage critical financial operations and meet tight deadlines
  • Analytical, curious, and problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive, motivated, and results-driven
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Collaborative and tech-savvy
