At Too Good To Go, you work on something that truly matters: together with brands and manufacturers and millions of app users, we help fight food waste. We’re looking for new Sales Waste Warriors with lots of energy and curiosity - people who genuinely want to build something meaningful.
Your Mission
As a Sales Specialist, you play a key role in our mission. You'll help to reach out to brands and manufacturers and encourage them to utilise their surplus food in a more sustainable way with Too Good To Go
Once you’re fully onboarded, you’ll have targets of how many brands and partners to contact. You’ll check your pipeline in Salesforce and ensure that it’s always being replenished with new leads and contacts. You’ll work closely with your manager to develop the best sales techniques, but what you’ll need from the start is great communication skills and a genuine passion for connecting and building relationships.
Depending on the market you work in, you may also manage a portfolio of wholesaler suppliers. These are key partners to us, and require responsiveness and great analytical skills to manage successfully. Through managing these partnerships, you’ll develop your buying and negotiation skills.
Your role:
- Proactive business development, calling and researching new prospects, with the tenacity to succeed even when your pipeline is a little empty or calls are not leading to successful partnerships
- Receiving large volumes of data from our wholesaler partners, analysing against our business requirements and acting with pace to secure inventory at fair prices
- Taking guidance from your manager to research categories, brands and trends in the market
- Using available tools including LinkedIn in Sales Navigator and outbound calling, to develop and nurture partnership leads
Requirements:
- Experienced lead generation/ outbound callers - or the desire to develop this skill! Creating outreach opportunities over the phone is a key part of the role so you need to be used to high volumes of calls.
- You’re an excellent listener who can understand a client's needs and can present our proposition with clarity and passion
- You’re proactive in researching and calling new leads, and you show perseverance & resilience when things get tough.
- Excellent attention to detail- accuracy is important to you!
- You are fully proficient in German and fluent in English
- You are based in Berlin
- You’re organised, independent, and communicate openly with your team - collaboration is the key!
- A passion for the mission and for raising awareness of food waste and sustainability
