Channel Marketing Operations Specialist

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Channel Operations Specialist. The Channel Operations Specialist will ensure that our Together Commerce Alliance partners, Toshiba’s umbrella partner program, are fully equipped to meet their growth goals by maintaining comprehensive partner marketing programs and their efficient operations; including channel resellers/VAR’s, ISV’s and more. Responsibilities range from working both strategically and tactically, as well as cross-functionally, in the design and execution of operations for indirect sales channels, to advising and executing on the appropriate programs and methodologies as part of the evolution of the channels eco-systems – including managing partner status/eligibility, co-marketing/MDF programs and processes. As a result, this makes it easier for our partners to do business with Toshiba, while enabling channel sales to achieve their short and long-term objectives for sales revenue, profit, and market penetration. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with solid analytical and financial skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and motivated by our core values of Respect, Empowerment, Teamwork, Adaptability, Integrity, and Leadership. 

Areas of Expertise & Skills

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with a college or university degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Understanding of B2B partner programs, ideally in the high-tech and/or retail technology industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—clear, concise, and audience-focused.
  • Strong financial fluency, with the ability to assess the business impact of decisions.
  • Proven analytical and reporting skills, with an emphasis on execution and insight-driven recommendations.
  • Creative, motivated, and skilled in relationship-building with key decision makers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment, with strong adaptability to change.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay current with emerging marketing trends and technologies as well as creative/design ability to provide content and design drafts/direction.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the retail technology industry (vendor or client side).
  • Strong in person and digital communication skills via email, social media and online within meetings.
  • Able to clearly convey ideas and updates to partners and internal teams.
  • Comfortable shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive in identifying challenges and finding practical solutions.
  • Skilled at fostering trust and collaboration across diverse stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

  • Marketing automation platforms: Proficiency in platforms such as Salesforce CRM, Oracle, Pardot, Canva, and Asana or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is essential for campaign execution and automation.

  • CRM systems: Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce

  • Basic coding skills: Knowledge of HTML and CSS can be helpful for customizing marketing automation workflows and integrating systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Alliance Program Management

Support and update partnership channel offerings, incentives, and alliance programs (MDF, BP incentives, benefits, etc.).

Manage and evaluate Gold & Diamond partners, ISVs, solution partners, and authorized warranty service providers.

Provide operational support: maintain Oracle Channel Management records, coordinate marketing access, ship plaques, and support partner showcase activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – working effectively with sales, procurement, and product teams to align strategies and ensure execution.

2. Channel Communications

Contribute to social media discussions to submit Channel-focused content to Marketing for integration.

Ensure compliance communications (e.g., CA recycling law) are delivered.

Engage with Marketing & Communications team to submit information for support within the Marketing team’s Agile process for timely planning and delivery of content. Drafts for brand review may also be submitted.

Administering marketing automation systems and ensuring database hygiene.

Defining goals, success metrics, and reporting on marketing program results.

3. Memberships & Partnerships

Manage external memberships (RSPA, RTN, etc.) to enhance brand awareness and lead generation.

Support related events, webinars, and marketing initiatives.

4. Partner Portal Content & Experience

Maintain and improve the partner portal and related tools.

Act as the go-to resource for portal content management and usability.

Ability to provide copy and basic design elements.

5. Financial Efficiency & Reporting

Lead MDF planning, forecasting, and expense reporting.

Ensure accurate monthly financial submissions for partner and channel activities (via internal systems and 3rd-party platforms like 360 Insights).

Responsible for managing invoices for channel marketing initiatives and serving as a liaison between the marketing and procurement teams to ensure accurate, timely processing

6. Cross-Functional Alignment

Partner with internal teams (Sales& Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, Solutions) to support channel strategy.

Act as a trusted advisor throughout the channel partner lifecycle.

7. Channel Net Promoter Survey

Manage annual survey process: partner lists, questionnaire updates, results analysis, and prioritization of follow-up actions.

Support major partner events (e.g., NRF,), audits (JSOX compliance)

 8. Other tasks to support the team’s activities
