Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary

This position is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing existing customer accounts, developing new business, and owning the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through order entry. The Inside Sales Representative serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, delivering responsive, solutions-oriented service that reflects Cicoil's commitment to quality and fast turnaround.

This role manages the quotation process from initial customer request through confirmed order entry in Epicor, our ERP system, coordinating with internal teams including Engineering, Production Control, and Customer Service to ensure accurate and competitive quotes are delivered on time.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong sales instincts, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. This person genuinely enjoys building customer relationships, thrives in a high-volume environment, and takes pride in moving opportunities from inquiry to fulfillment efficiently and accurately.

Success in this role looks like consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, maintaining high customer retention, managing a well-developed sales pipeline, and ensuring accurate, error-free order entry.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of inside sales or customer-facing sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with an ERP system required; familiarity with Epicor is a plus.
  • Experience with a CRM platform (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) preferred.
  • Experience supporting customers within the aerospace, defense, military, or government contracting industries is highly preferred.

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of sales processes including prospecting, quoting, negotiating, and closing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, cable, or industrial products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes, FAR/DFARS requirements, or working with prime contractors and government agencies is a strong plus.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and confidently present solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in data entry and order management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume account base and sales pipeline.
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Job Responsibilities

Account Management & Revenue Growth

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing accounts through proactive outreach, regular follow-up, and solution-based selling.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key customer contacts, including Procurement, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase revenue and share of wallet within existing accounts.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction and retention.

New Business Development

  • Prospect and qualify new leads through outbound calls, emails, and referrals.
  • Follow up on inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and present tailored Cicoil product and solution recommendations.

Quotation & Order Management

  • Own the quotation process from initial customer inquiry through final order entry in Epicor (ERP system).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production Control, and Customer Service to gather the necessary information for accurate and competitive quote preparation.
  • Generate and deliver accurate sales quotations to customers in a timely manner.
  • Track the status of submitted quotations and follow up with customers as needed to close opportunities.
  • Accurately enter confirmed orders into Epicor, ensuring all information is complete and accurate prior to submission.
  • Maintain organized records of all quotations, orders, and customer communications.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline, forecasts, and account activity to sales leadership.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, and team initiatives.

Other responsibilities, initiatives, and ad hoc projects as assigned.

Pay Range: $65,000-$72,000
