JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Engagement Manager is responsible for leading services engagements to drive sales and oversee the project lifecycle for expanding services opportunities. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, spanning pre-sales through delivery, to ensure solutions are expertly crafted, scoped, designed, implemented, and tested to meet client business needs. Building strong relationships, fostering trust, and supporting client success are central to the role, working across internal account teams, business units, external partners, and clients. The Engagement Manager is a key player in driving successful sales, growth, renewals, and long-term success at Trace3.

 

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Business Development:

  • Collaborate with account teams to ensure services opportunities are relevant, accurately scoped, and prioritized during the sales pursuit and proposal phase.
  • Drive services opportunities through the entire pre-sales lifecycle, leveraging personal expertise and coordinating Trace3 resources, external partners, and administrative teams to identify and secure profitable engagements that deliver tangible improvements to client businesses.
  • Remain actively involved with client engagements as a thought leader and focus on expansion.
  • Provide honest and candid feedback to regional and services leadership.

 Client Management:

  • Conduct client meetings to match Trace3 value with client business outcomes.
  • Actively engage with clients to listen, analyze, and process information, while developing and gathering project solution briefs, ROI analyses, and other materials that position Trace3 services to achieve client objectives
  • Manage communication channels between Trace3, clients and other relevant parties.
  • Act as the primary Services contact and partner for each assigned client engagement.
  • Secure and maintain complete project sponsor support for each project.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external status meetings with assigned clients and support team(s).

Engagement:

  • Evaluate services opportunities, closely monitoring them throughout the pre-sales process and transitioning seamlessly into delivery. Maintain CRM opportunity records.
  • Structure and scope services engagements for profitability, collaborating with account teams and partners to optimize value, and coordinate with delivery teams to fulfill promises.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration and meeting agendas within the assigned project team ecosystem.
  • Propose solution and process recommendations, handle client escalations effectively.

 Delivery:

  • Monitor overall status for the successful delivery of engagements.
  • Serve as an expert in the development of services within Trace3 methodology and internal processes.
  • Facilitate dissemination and assimilation of delivery standards and processes.
  • Prioritize engagement management efforts among multiple active, prospective, and planned projects, adjusting activities based on changing client priorities.
  • Review key project documentation and ensure it is appropriate for business or technical audience.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years of enterprise, full-lifecycle project or client management in successful consultative selling and account development of commercial enterprise accounts.
  • Proven leadership and initiative in successfully driving specialty sales in accounts, including prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills with an ability to convey and simplify technical issues to C-Level Executives and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with an understanding of a multi-faceted business operation.
  • Motivated self-starter with a penchant for solving challenging problems and comfortable working directly with clients.
  • Strong understanding of business environments and challenges of IT operations in an enterprise-level corporation.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills, and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment.
  • Ability to approach clients and sales requests with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand requests, needs, and effectively deliver.
  • Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

Estimated Pay Range

$175,000 - $225,000 USD
