Manager - Carrier Sales
About the Role
As the Manager, Carrier Sales your primary responsibility is to lead and manage a carrier sales team operating with a designated set of carriers. Your key objective revolves around fostering sales growth within this cohort by directing and motivating representatives towards targeted KPIs including volume, auto-booking and others. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader equipped with sales management acumen, the ability to develop carrier representatives, strong communication skills, strong collaboration skills, and a profound comprehension of our product offerings.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Provide effective leadership to the carrier sales team.
- Conduct coaching and mentoring sessions for the development of carrier representatives.
- Establish performance expectations for each representative through consistent feedback and follow-ups.
- Hold biweekly one-on-one discussions with each representative.
- Leading expert in current market conditions, which you will be responsible for communicating to your reps, contracted agents, and AM peers
- Deny or approve offers from the product, team, and contracted agents
- Communicate often with your AM, pricing, and peers about changes in booking patterns, market conditions, and service expectations
- Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability
- Define expectation lists for individual representatives.
- Share pertinent market updates and information regarding the Strat fleet Cohort across the country
- Engage with regional sales teams and the Sr. Manager.
- Ensure optimal coverage and service quality on loads.
- Monitor and mitigate abandonment percentage to maintain operational efficiency.
- Supervise load updates to uphold exceptional service standards for our customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of management or leadership experience
- Logistics experience in Carrier Sales or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate analytical background and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, etc.)

Illinois: The target salary for this position is $66,000-95,000
