About the Role
The Carrier Manager is responsible for enhancing carrier visibility, compliance, and performance through data-driven strategies and best practices. The role focuses on strengthening relationships with carriers, optimizing tracking technologies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving process automation.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Carrier Performance & Relationship Management
- Lead carrier improvement plan processes as required.
- Interpret and publish carrier scorecards and service metrics.
- Coordinate and conduct Carriers meetings and QBR’s.
- Continuous Improvement
- Continuous savings initiatives through market benchmark and network analysis.
- Support on carriers’ touchless execution service through MacroPoint, EDI, etc.
- Operational Support
- Act as a primary escalation point between operations teams and carriers for issue resolution.
- Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements
Basic Qualifications
- College degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineer or related.
- Microsoft Excel-- Intermediate knowledge including but not limited to VLookup, Pivot Tables and advanced formulas.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proficient Spanish and English written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Simultaneous management of multiple tasks.
- Ability to envision and implement new concepts/strategies.
- Ability to communicate and work with different internal teams and external customers at all levels.
- Ability to understand market trends.
