A&E Business Development Manager - Western US
Who We Are
Responsibilities
- Prospecting/outreach, demos/presentations, processing opportunities alongside our Sales/Solutions Engineering teams, onboarding new tier 1 A&E partners
- Prospecting and building new relationships and evangelizing Verkada to A&E consultants
- Ability to quickly learn and provide technical product guidance and specification support in a consultative manner for A&E partners is strongly preferred
- Tracking all metrics and opportunities in both Salesforce and G-Suite
- Background in commercial construction or commercial real estate is preferred
- Demonstrated history of project management
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple priorities & achieve deadlines
- Create and execute marketing plans targeting the assigned sector including marketing campaigns, tradeshow events, sales tools and web resources, social media, and customer interactions as approved
- Provide ongoing guidance and suggestions to A&E leadership for program development
- Supervise and manage business unit resources - demo equipment, marketing budgets, travel budgets, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- Must have at least 3 years A&E sales experience in the security / technology industry, existing relationships preferred
- Disciplined to follow defined processes, yet creative to recommend/build new, scalable approaches
- Ability to develop relationships and engage at all levels within partners (Sales to C-suite)
- Fluency in Salesforce, Excel, and other business software
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple priorities, achieve deadlines
- Engaging personality, polished verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Your position will require you to interact with all other Verkada teams and our partners - must be a team player, understand different team dynamics and contribute in a positive manner toward the clients' success
- 25-50% national travel required
- Must live in Western US, high preference for living in/near a major city (San Francisco, Seattle, etc)

Pay Disclosure
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Estimated Annual Pay Range
$120,000 - $175,000 USD
