DevOps Engineer – Enterprise Platform (Resi)

Job Summary
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support Vonage’s Residential platform.  As part of this role, the candidate will learn, maintain and upgrade  all aspects of the Business Support Systems (BSS) including billing , product catalog, ordering shipping and more.  The components also support the APIs for all frontend applications including support tools, customer self service, subscribe and online account.

Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Responsibilities, Software, Etc.)

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the role of a DevOps Engineer is required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Linux based systems (RedHat, Docker, etc.) 
• Experience with Apache & WebLogic platforms 
• Understanding of various database architectures (SQL / Oracle, Mongo, etc.)
• Knowledge on SOAP and REST services
• Working knowledge of GIT, SVN, JIRA, AWS, Puppet, SOAPUI
• Experience maintaining and supporting a large scale production environment
• Experience partnering and collaborating with both on and off-shore teams
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Participate in an on call rotation, responding to events as needed.
• Create and maintain application build and deployment scripts.
• Advance pipeline services to aid the developer experience, while providing the necessary controls for auditing and reporting.
• Automate and continuously improve our service by developing our Infra as Code.
• Work with the tooling teams to ensure consistency in line with regulatory needs.

Additional Skills (would like to have but not required)

• Knowledge of billing platforms
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python).
• Experienced with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS.
• Understanding of JMS or other message processing platforms.
