Senior Sourcing Business Partner – Global Strategic Sourcing

Why this role matters:
The Senior Sourcing Business Partner is responsible for owning and optimizing the sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and commercial outcomes for assigned technology categories — including IT, Cloud Services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), Enterprise Software, Apps, APIs, Legal, Compliance, Marketing. This role drives category plans, conducts market analysis, manages competitive events, and ensures supplier performance aligns with business needs. The Senior Sourcing Business Partner works closely with Sourcing Business Partners, IT leadership, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to deliver cost savings, mitigate risk, and enable innovation.
Your key responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Market Intelligence
- Develop and maintain category strategies based on market trends, business requirements, and total cost of ownership.
- Continuously monitor supplier landscapes, emerging technologies, and competitive benchmarks.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, innovation adoption, and cost optimization.
Sourcing Execution
- Lead RFPs, RFIs, and negotiations for assigned categories, ensuring competitive and value-driven outcomes.
- Collaborate with Legal and InfoSec to address data privacy, cybersecurity, SLAs, and compliance terms in contracts.
- Manage renewals and renegotiations to optimize commercial and operational performance.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic suppliers in assigned categories.
- Monitor and report supplier KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Lead regular business reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Sourcing Business Partners to align category strategy with business unit needs.
- Work with Finance to track budget impact, forecast spend, and support ROI analyses.
- Educate stakeholders on category trends, sourcing best practices, and governance processes.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3-5 years of procurement or category management experience, with at least 1 year in IT / Cloud / SaaS / Telecom / API / BSS sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of subscription-based, usage-based, and enterprise licensing models.
- Proven negotiation skills with technology providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Salesforce, Oracle, Twilio, Cisco, and similar.
- Experience with procurement tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle) and advanced Excel or analytics tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or FinOps Certified Practitioner (plus)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (plus)
