Financial Reporting Analyst
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Prepare monthly consolidation accounting, elimination entries, and supporting working papers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and standards.
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including comprehensive analysis of variances and account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of technical accounting memorandums, ensuring alignment with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other accounting frameworks (such as US GAAP).
- Support external and internal audits by providing timely and accurate responses to audit queries and maintaining complete documentation.
- Support the execution and documentation of SOx internal controls.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and reporting, driving efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on IFRS and other accounting frameworks (such as US GAAP) reporting developments and implement changes as required.
- Participate in special projects, such as ERP implementations and other financial transformation initiatives.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Consolidation and Financial Reporting team is responsible for consolidating the financial results of VTEX subsidiaries and preparing internal and external financial statements in compliance with the applicable accounting standards and SEC requirements. The team collaborates closely with Controllership, Investor Relations, and FP&A, ensuring timely and accurate financial information. Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in Big 4/public accounting or mid-to-large public/global companies.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, BRGAAP, and financial reporting standards, including group consolidation and foreign exchange. US GAAP and other accounting frameworks knowledge is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., FCCS, Narrative, PBCS).
- Strong analytical and systemic thinking to design simple solutions for complex problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills in English;
- Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively in a flat organizational structure.
- Demonstrated writing and argumentation skills, with proven experience in preparing technical memos, explaining processes and analyzes in a clear and structured way is a plus.
